ALUMINOR becomes a Mission-Driven Company

The ALUMINOR company is very happy and very proud to announce that it is becoming a Mission-Driven Company .

Specializing in the creation , manufacture and marketing of interior lighting , the ALUMINOR company has existed for over 70 years. It was acquired in 2019. CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) was immediately placed at the heart of its development strategy .

Richard BARBETT, CEO of ALUMINOR and Florence BARBETT, Director of Communication and CSR are driving an ambitious dynamic in terms of CSR: waste reduction, redesign of packaging, eco-design of a first light fixture, definition of ALUMINOR's Purpose with all of its stakeholders ( employees, customers, suppliers, partners, etc. )... several actions have already been successfully implemented.

Others are currently being developed: repairability offer for lighting fixtures manufactured in its workshops in Nice, custom creation and manufacturing offer, etc.

But today, by becoming a Mission-Driven Company , the team's ambition is even greater.

A Mission-Driven Company is a new type of company which, in addition to its economic dimension , has a mission of general interest .

  • A Mission-Driven Company defines and publicly affirms its Purpose .
  • It sets environmental and societal objectives which it aims to pursue within the framework of its activity.
  • It includes in its statutes the general interest objectives that it has defined.
  • She agrees to be audited by a third party who will assess the actions taken to achieve the commitments made.

The 4 objectives that ALUMINOR has defined within the framework of its new status as a Mission-Driven Company are as follows:

  • Create and manufacture lighting fixtures tailored to the needs of our customers and develop a personalized offer.
  • Cultivate our know-how and grow the ALUMINOR team.
  • Building cooperation with all of our stakeholders .
  • Reduce the environmental impacts of our products and activities.

These objectives are fully consistent with the company's strategic objectives and the actions already implemented.

" For us, it is a way of reaffirming the course , of formalizing the commitments made , and of challenging ourselves since a third-party organization will regularly assess the actions that we have implemented to achieve our objectives. It is both the culmination of all the work carried out as a team since the takeover of the company and the start of a new, even more ambitious stage . " explains Richard BARBETT.
